Sudden storms are an expression of the normal cycles of weather, and yet they are always surprising. Shocking events are, after all, not really shocking, but simply unexpected. They are unexpected because we have neglected our observance of the cycles of life (seasons). When we are vigilant in our obser-vance, even the sudden and abrupt changes cannot unseat us.
