Cui is about assembling an entire clan before the altar of their ancestors. Spiritual, social and material resources are gathered and put in order. Everyone gathers to perform a collective rite that expresses a true and great unity of spirit. Since the ties of unity are not politically created (promise) but "found in the blood" success is inevitable. Cui is a festival of natural unity.

Good for marriage, family gatherings, gathering resources, and religious ceremony.
Bad for solitude, selfishness, postponement, and withdrawal.
Comment

Unity with others is a wonderful feeling. Cui describes a ritual that bares our collective spirit to its Source (ancestors) in a festive ritual that is devoid of hypocrisy and artifice. The gathering identifies our spiritual roots-our com-monality. This feeling of unity is the source of all true human emotions.

When we sincerely open our hearts in this way we are naturally purged of our selfishness and wantonness. Through this exchange we may enter into the depths of human spirituality. There is no greater gesture than this ritual of rituals.
